i have anew trasnmission and car will not go over 5mph what do i do

Duce,

You need to make sure everything is connected properly.  Sounds like the mass airflow sensor to me from what you say.  If the transmission works, in first, it will wind to red line.  But, if something like the mass airflow sensor was not reconnected after installation or a ground was left loose you will have problems.  I would take a flashlight and go over the engine compartment and see what is disconnected or damaged from the transmission swap.
