Nissan Repair: Infiniti 2007 G35x wont accelerate, 2007 infiniti g35x, dynamic stability control

Question
I have a 2007 Infiniti G35x with an intermittent acceleration problem. The car will barely accelerate on flat ground and struggles to get up hills. The problem occurs at random times. The exterior, rear brake lights come on and stay on even though the brake pedal is not being pressed.
Sometimes dash warning lights like "Slip" and "VDC" come on. The problem will go away on its own, but can take hours or days.

Answer
Chris,

The traction control and vehicle dynamic stability control are controlled by the computer.  If the brake fluid is old it will cause issues with the ABS.  But, not for what you describe.  I would almost think you have aftermarket wheels and tires on your vehicle.  If this is the case try turning off the VDC by pressing the button.  If that does the trick you will just have to press it all the time.  If the vehicle thinks it is slipping by its reading of the wheel speed sensors it will retard the throttle, timing and apply the rear brakes.  Let me know if you have aftermarket tires and wheels.  I think that could be the cause.  If not, you will need to have the vehicle codes read.  These are stored but will not throw the check engine light and you local auto parts store will not be able to read them unless they have a body code reader.  There is a controller area bus on the car that stores codes like the Slip and VDC.  Email me back and let me know what you have found.
