Nissan Repair: CLUTCH PROBLEMS, clutch slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder

Question
I just bought a 1987 nissan 300zx and the day I drove it home no problems. The next day i go to start it up I notice the clutch is weak. I am a mechanic in training so i don't know everything. But i tried to bleed the system and i broke loose the slave cylinder valve and i lost all pressure. So from there i saw another bleeder type valve across from it and when i put a wrench on it I twisted it off. So aside from the valve type thing i am going to have to replace how do i bleed this clutch system??

Answer
Wes,

Replace the clutch slave cylinder.  Using the correct wrench have someone push in on the clutch pedal.  Open the bleeder and close it quickly.  Then, have the person let off the clutch pedal.  They might need to use their toe to get the pedal up the first couple of times.  Make sure to keep fluid in the clutch master cylinder while doing this.  Keep the fluid off the paint or it will eat it to bare metal.  Repeat the process until the trapped air is gone and you have a firm pedal.
