Question
i have never had any problems with my car but the other day while driving along the engine shut down completly i started it again and started driving again and after a few minutes it happened again.. it continued to happen another couple of times.. then my partner disconnected the battery and reconnected it again and now the car wont start at all.. no reds or anything.i appreciate your help with this. thankyou.

Answer
Tania,

If there are no lights and the battery was disconnected I would check the battery for being fully charged first.  Next, after the battery is charged the car should start.  If it does not check the fuses and fuse links at the battery terminal and the ignition fuse.  A low battery will cause the ignition fuse to blow.  After you get it started have the electrical system checked as it sounds to me that the alternator is not charging the system sufficiently.  Make sure the terminals are not corroded on the battery and that they are tight as well.
