Nissan Repair: 93 Nissan sentra XE, nissan sentra, air control valve

Question
Hi, I was the one inquiring about my 93 Nissan sentry rough idle and
starting problems. Cleaning the idle air control valve did help the starting.
The car idles well cold and I haven't gotten it out of the garage yet. So I'm
not sure If the idle is fixed. The next item I'm inquiring about is a hose....
Right above my master cylinder, there is this hose unplugged. It is not long
therefore I would assume where it plugs in would be near there. I have
looked and looked. Here is the description: black hose, fairly small, with a
little cup type thing on the end, also inside the cup like thing it had this
little gold circle, I'm assuming it's a little tiny gold hose inside, but I cant
see to far down. Any ideas where this might plug into. Also I can send you
a picture of it if you need. What would be the best way to get you a
picture?

Answer
Hi Kyle -

I am thinking this is the brake booster vacuum supply. Is the brake pedal hard to press down?

If so, then you will need the fitting that connects the hose to the booster. Should go right above the master cylinder.

If not, then please send me a photo. You can attach a photo to your message when you rely back to me.

thanks and aloha
