Nissan Repair: 1994 altima trans and temp gauges, temp gauge, back bottom

I repalaced my alternator a couple of days ago since then I'm troubles my temp gauge goes to hot  but does not overheat and now my transmission has started to shift very hard out of first gear its AT I notice that the temp needle jumps all obver the place it also changes when hitting my brake pedal and power drops alot at other times its fine can u please tell me whatthe cause maybe don't want to replace the wrong parts.

I would almost bet the wiring has been pinched or damaged from the alternator replacement.  This, given the vehicle was working perfectly prior to the alternator replacement.  The transmission jumping is most probably due to a broken engine mount.  Usually, this is the one on the back/bottom of the engine.
