Nissan Repair: L Headlight draining battery, headlight switch, high beam

Question
Battery goes flat after a day or two. Disconnected connector from left headlight. Fixed problem but now no headlight.

Answer
Brian,

The headlight would not drain power when in the off position.  However, the headlight switch feeds the headlight and if it internally shorts it would do what you indicate.  I would change the headlight switch and you should have the problem corrected.  If you take a Nissan headlight switch a part you will wonder how they manage to put all of those contacts in one small area.  High beam and low bean, left and right all in one place and they are independent from the left to the right.
