Nissan Repair: AT/ transmission, nissan sentra gxe, nissan sentra

my 1995 Nissan Sentra GXE shifts hard before 20 mph what can cause that to happen, and how can i fix it. i have tryed flusing out the tarnsmission and placed fresh oil and a filter. Iam thinking it may be the shifting silond or will i need to get a new transmission for my car.

I would look at the engine and transmission mounts.

The rear one, close to the firewall is the one that usually causes the condition you describe.  When the engine is in first it is a low gear and has lots of torque.  When it shifts to second it really jerks.  Check the mounts and email me back with what you find.
