Nissan Repair: Nissan hardbody cental locking, nissan hardbody, door locks

Question
After body repair(it was not big damage)front left door actuator is not working.Checked resistance of actuator,
reads 1,1 Ohm,but there is no voltage on both wires coming to the actuator, either locking or unlocking.Where is central lock module located and how is wiring design, all actuators wired separately or one output for all four. This is 3,0TD J85 model

Answer
M. Nikolic,

Check the door lock actuator switch.  Get a test light and see if there is power to the switch.  Usually, the switch is the problem.

Second, the body control module would be defective.  Howrver, you did not indicate that the other door locks are a problem.  If they are good then we are probably looking at the wires where they enter the vehicle.  Pull the kick panel and inspect the harness and connectors.  In this loom is where you will usually find that a wire has broken.  Pull the rubber protector cover and inspect the wires.  Focus on the ones for the lock.

One last thing to look for is the circuit breaker for the interior goodies like the door locks.  If there is a short Nissan uses a circuit breaker to protect the harness.  I would look at what damage was repaired and inspect what they did to see if a wire has been inadvertently grounded.
