Nissan Repair: Timing belt., 2 quarts, sendra

Question
My car engine broke down, thought it is because of oil when the signal was lighten up while driving more than 2 days with the oil signal up. I put 2 quarts after the engine stop. And 2 more quarts after I towed to my place. Only a slow starting sound I heard when start the engine but die out in seconds. Lights ok. It is a nissan sendra se2.0 2001 model. Pls. help.

Answer
Rothen,

I would think due to being four quarts low on oil there is internal engine damage.  That is the bearings, rings and pistons have excessive wear.  That would explain the noise at startup due to excessive clearances (bearings wear).  I cannot think it would be the timing since it is a chain.
