Nissan Repair: SLIP light, 2005 nissan 350z, nissan 350z

Why does the SLIP light keep coming on? The car actually slowed down to 48mph on the freeway. I bought a used 2005 Nissan 350z. Thanks for your time.

Hi Sandra -

Please bear with my questions, as I am not there to check things out physically, which obviously makes it a little more challenging.

Are you saying that it comes on unannounced while you are driving? The SLIP tells the car that the wheels are loosing traction and it locks them, that is why the speed reduces.

This can be checked by the dealer or any competent mechanic, as it could be the sensor, or a transmission issue.
