Nissan Repair: Whinning noise..., nissan maxima, altimas

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima that has 132000 miles. I've seemed to noticed for couple months now that every time I start/turn off the car, there seems to be a whinning noise coming from under the hood.
I've done some research by going to maxima forums online and the only thing I came up with is that it could be my rear motor mount going bad? Would you agree?
I've had my front motor mount w/sensor replaced but not the rear mount. I want to take it in to a shop to have it looked at but they charge around $100 just diagnose the problem.
What other suggestions do you have.

I have heard that symptom before and it was coming from the rear engine mount, however I really did not see the need to address it.  the ones I had inspected were fine and still intact and the customers just learned to live with it.  it is also common on the Altimas
