Nissan Repair: nissan maxima, rear rotors, nissan maxima

Question
I went to mechanic shop to change rear rotors and pads.After when they changed it i dont
have now hand brake(i have brake beafore).They told me i have to change now calipers.
Is that true!       Thank you.

yes it is quite possible, the parking brake mecanism is a ratcheting device that is built directly inside the caliper and could very well have failed while turning the calipers back in to install the new brake pads at no fault to the shop, just age.
