Nissan Repair: 2003 Nissan Altima Brake & Battery Indicators, 2003 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
The Brake and Battery indicator lights have recently started coming on in my 2003 Nissan Altima.  These lights only stay on until the car warms up then they go off.  I recently had brakes inspected and back ones replaced but warning lights still come on when car is cranked and cold.  What do I need to do to fix this problem?  From reading questions from other folks, it seems it may be an alternator problem.  Do you think I need to replace my alternator?

Answer
Shannon,

It is most probably the alternator.  I would make sure all connections at the battery are corrosion free and the terminals are tight.  If this is the case and the lights still come on it is your alternator.  But, to verify this you can go to Autozone or Checker for a free electrical inspection...
