Nissan Repair: How to change side light bulb / Nissan Primera, plastic connector, headlight assembly

Question
Nissan Repair: How to change side light bulb / Nissan Primera, plastic connector, headlight assembly
Nissan Primera
Hello,

I have a Nissan Primera 1999 'v' reg, petrol 2.0l(i think it is the P11-144, I have attached a similar image of the car I found on the internet), and one of my side lights has blown. I bought a replacent bulb the other day, but an having trouble accessing the old bulb.

There seems to be a plastic connector that should come off
somehow but I am not sure how, I have tried to pull it but it will
not come off. I dont want to pull too hard and break it.

Could you confirm the correct way I can gain access to
the bulb.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Answer
Mark,

If you are talking about the one at the side of the headlight you will need to remove the headlight assembly to gain access.  Or, remove items inside to get to the connector.  If you are talking about the one on the side of the car, in front of the door, you use a small screwdriver and a rag to protect the paint and plastic and pry at one end.  On yours I think it is front to back.  Email me back and let me know if I have answered your question.
