Nissan Repair: 1997 Nissan Maxima stalls at revers, air control valve, nissan maxima

Hello. My name is Dmitry. My son just bot Nissan Maxima GXE 1997. Everything is working OK. There is only one problem, it stalls wen the car is in raverse and i push the gas. Wen at idle, no problem. What can be the problem?

If the car stalls in gear, in reverse, could mean that the idle air control valve is sticking.  In drive, it does not stall?  Only when in reverse?  Could be that the transmission is lugging in reverse.  Also, could be that the sparkplugs need to be changed.
