Question
I have a 1995 nissan maxima,3.0 my car don't have spark,i replace the two crank position sensor in front and back, and   also i replace cam position sensor, i have signal in the injectors everything is good,i check with the scanner, i have two codes the cam sensor and knock sensor only, somebody told me the problem was the timing chain, if you can help me figure this problem thank you......

Answer
Robert,

To check valve event timing run the engine over to top dead center.  Remove number one plug and see where the piston is at.  If you are at top dead center the piston will be at the top.  If you run it over again and wait for the compression stroke, air will come out of the sparkplug hole.  Use your finger in the hole.  Once pressure is felt stop the engine.  You should be close to top dead center.  If not, then the engine has jumped timing and the person is correct about the chain.  If not, then you probably have a bad computer since you did replace the crank position sensors.  Lastly, you could have something as simple as a bad distributor.
