Nissan Repair: nissan infiniti, nissan infiniti, headlight switch

Question
I have a 1995 Nissan infinit g20. The headlight on driver side stays on if the battery is connected. Everyone was saying it was a relay, so I had all those fixed. Then I was told it was a headlight switch but either a maxima or a sentra was compatible as far as the part so I wasn't gonna have 2 pay for the name infiniti. Do u think that's the problem? And if it is, do u know if it is compatible with another Nissan model? Please help me. I've had license mechanics just bs me around for over a year now. I would really like 2 start driving the car I've never been able 2 since 2 days after I bought it BC the headlight drains the battery so quick

Answer
Tori,

Replace the headlight switch since the relays have been changed.  The contact points in the headlight switch have stuck.  A sentra and G20 should be the same.  But, the Sentra will not be as pretty as the G20 switch.  But, it will work.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com for sources.
