Nissan Repair: 200sx, air control valve, 200sx s14

Question
Nissan Repair: 200sx, air control valve, 200sx s14
engine
i have a 1994 200sx s14, When i turn the aircon on the car goes to a ultra low idle like 400 rpm and it even stalls sometimes..
So when iam about to come to a stop i have to turn the aircon off so the car will idle back at around 800-1000 which is still a bit low ? . is there an easy fix?

Answer
Todd,

If there are no codes in the computer my thoughts lean to a gummed up idle air control valve.  That is most common.  it cannot bump up the idle to keep the car going when you have a load, like an airconditioner on.  If the idle air control valve is not gummed up then look at the manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP).  This is the pressure sensor that tells the computer where to adjust the air bleed on the idle air control valve.  Clean the throttle body while you are at it.  You can also bump up the idle using the air bleed secre on the opposite end of the intake.
