Today, I got my engine cleaned, the people at the car wash sprayed cleaner on it and hosed it off with water.

Is hosing it off with water a good thing to do?

I have the car home. But when I drove it, it started to sputter and the check engine light came on and flashed. Also, the R.P.M.'s don't rev up when it's going, but then it shoots into like turbo mode once once the R.P.M.'s go to about 4,000. It'll speed fast and jerk a little.

Should I let the engine dry off for a while? How long? please respond, I'm so nervous.

I would allow the engine to dry overnight and see if the problem goes away.  Usually the distributor cap gets condensation in it and that causes the problem.  Tomorrow, drive to Autozone or Checker and have them read the code.  Email me back what the code is and we'll go from there.
