Nissan Repair: 1988 Nissan Sentra Bucking might be running on 3, nissan sentra, sentra

Question
Hello I hope some one out there can help me I got a great TBI 96ci Sentra I love this thing, but lately I'm having a bucking problem. I was told it might be a fuel thing and now well that turn in having no Composition in #4 or #1 pistons. I know that I replace the Thromastat or "lack there of" in December. Only reason for doing this that it never warm up. Now that it is med Aug Should I remove the the Stat or leave it in. Any help would Great.

Answer
Joseph,

Yes, keep that thermostat in the car.  Running too cold causes the oil to sludge up in the engine.  The bucking, if not plug related is probably a distributor contaminated with oil.  Tear down the distributor and check for oil on the optical shutter wheel.
