Nissan Repair: Fuel and Engine treatments, variable valve timing, 5w30

I have a 2000 Maxima with 128K miles on it. Would you recommend a fuel or engine treatments? I see that there are alot of brands out in the market, many have recommended Lucas.  .
What would you recommend?

Nissan does not recommend fuel treatment.  However, I have ahd good luck with Lucas.  I have a 2000 Maxima SE with 148K on it and use Lucas fuel treatment once a month.  I just change the oil at regular intervals.  However, I have used Mobil 1 5W30 since new.  If you use conventional it is fine.  Just keep the oil changed and topped off.  The variable valve timing uses the oil pressure to advance cams and if the journals get plugged you are out money.  So, keep the oil changed every 3000 to 5000 miles.
