Nissan Repair: auto-ac, nissan centra, jumper wire

hi, i have a 98 nissan centra,the ac does not work,i checked all the fuses,and checked if there was freeon in it,there was.
i took the relay out and used a jumper wire and it started working and blows cold,so i replaced the relay,nothing works still.
what should i be looking next?

How many wires are going to the relay? One should be the hot, and the other should be one that gets power when the switch is on. Get a circuit tester and ensure that 2 wires have juice when the switch is on. If not, then check the switch, since you have already checked the fuse (did you also check the large circuit fuses in the engine compartment?).
