Nissan Repair: 04 sentra ser spec v, mass airflow sensor, volt ohm meter

Question
I have a 04 sentra ser spec v and lately for the last 2 days it's been just
shutting off on my and I know it's not the fuel pump bc it will start right back
up in a few min. I took It to nissan to have it diagnosed but they said it was
my cam position sensor .. Well I changed that and still no fix. It still drives
perfect besides the 15.9 mpg city  I'm getting and the random shut off any
suggestions?

Answer
Josh,

The mass airflow sensor is the most probable cause of the problem.  The Sentra is known for this and no code gets set.  Before you replace it please have it checked.  That means getting a volt ohm meter and doing the diagnosis.  A Haynes Manual or a factory service manual will give you the details.
