Nissan Repair: 98 Maxima rogue door locking, courtesyparts, rockauto

My passenger door is causing the power locks to engage at various times during driving or closing the door.  Suspect a wire with worn insulation or shorting connectors.  Any common areas to start looking?

The electric lock is the most probable issue.  The lock has contacts that provide conductivity in each position.  Most of the time the linkage gets worn and the lock has to be replaced.  If the switch itself is messing up you should be able to feel if it is stuck off center.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com are both good and cost effective alternatives to the dealer.
