Nissan Repair: radiator or airconditioning, nissan altima gle, nissan altima

I have a Nissan Altima GLE 94, the temperature gage has been going up top 'H', at first I thought it was the radiator but it didnt overheat, but when I turned off the Air conditioning the gage went back to normal. The radiator empties out as well as the reserve, when it rests the air and everything will work fine...any ideas...

Have you checked the thermostat, or the electric fan?

I would check the thermostat first, as it controls the fan.

Run the engine until operating temperature. Feel the top hose, and then the bottom. If one is hot, and the other is cool, replace the thermostat.
