Nissan Repair: Car stalls when stopping, nissan sentra, car stalls

Question
I own a 1998 nissan sentra and it recently started actin up as in stalling. It will stall when I'm driving slow (under 30mph or making a turn. If I throw it in "N" it wont hesitate to stall. And when it stalls, I put it in "N" and it starts right up. Also my battery/brake light is flashing on and off. Is this a related issue with the car stalling when moving slow.  thanks!

Hello -

Check your charging system. The alternator could be failing, or it could be a very low battery. The alternator should be putting out 14 volts with engine idling, and remain the same with headlights on.

Battery at rest should read at least 12.5 volts.
