Nissan Repair: 2000 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, electrical inspection

Question
Had problem today with my car when i went to start it it wouldn't had to get it jump started. On way home it wouldn't shift into any gear. It's an automatic. When i got home shut it off and tried to restart and it was dead again. Any idea what the problem could be?

You probably have a defective battery or alternator.  I would first remove the battery and take it to Autozone or Checker to get the battery charged.  Once it is charged, reinstall it, providing it is good; they will tell you if the battery is defective.  Now, drive down and have them do a free electrical inspection to verify that was all and that the alternator is not defective.
