Nissan Repair: Drivers side power window, windows work, circuit tester

Question
The power window on the drivers side will not go up.  All other windows work.  Is there a list of fuses and what they control?  Why will the window not go up?

Answer
Hi Van -

If the other windows work it is not the fuse.

Since the driver's side window is used a lot more than the others, the motor is usually the first to go. Best way to diagnose this is to remove the driver's side door panel, find the wire leading to the motor. Connect a test lamp to it (12V circuit tester with probe) and turn the ignition on with the window switch depressed. If there is power, then the motor needs replacement. If not, check the switch.

Hope this helps -
