Nissan Repair: Altima 2009, keyless ignition, body control module

Question
Our car is only 14 mos. old.  Occasionally I have a problem starting the car.  This  time was on Friday and it took 15 tries before it started.  The dealer says it has to happen when they are servicing the car and of course it never does.  I did notice a message saying the engine needs servicing.  This was right after the car was checked & serviced.  What is wrong with car.  This is a keyless ignition.  I even put the key in the bay and that didn't help.

Answer
Loretta,

Sounds like the alarm system is messing up.  That is, the alarm turns off the fuel pump.  I would try the other key and see if that corrects the problem.  If it is not key related and it does it with the other key then the body control module (the computer in the car that controls the alarm) is not registering the key as the one for the car.  I would complain and have them reprogram your keys, under warranty.  If this does not work, do you have other Nissan keys on your keyring?  If so, they could be messing with the body control module by it reading them instead of the key in the ignition.
