Nissan Repair: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder Creaky/Squeaky noise at the rear, sway bar bushings, nissan pathfinder

Question
I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SUV and there are two distinct creaky/squeaky sounds I hear towards the rear of the vehicle. One of them which isn't so prominent, sounds more like a groan when I drive on a really rough road even very slowly. It is as though I were straining the entire body of the car. The other one, which is more prominent and sharper is the creaky sound heard all the time as long as I'm driving the car regardless of the speed.
These noises drive me crazy. What do you suggest could be wrong and how can this be remedied?

I've driven the car for a year and half and I've enjoyed it so far until these noises showed up. It has approx. 120,000miles on it.

I'll appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks.

Answer
Enkay,

The noises are either a bearing surface on the suspension as in the spring mounting points or a bearing.  You can check these by spraying WD40 on each component and driving it.  Do not spray WD 40 on the brakes.  But, both springs where they connect to the vehicle would be a good place to start as would the anti-sway bar bushings.
