Nissan Repair: CD stuck in BOSE player wont come on, sound options, rubber bands

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2006 Pathfinder, i have a 6CD changer BOSE system. I was playing my CD when i tried changing CD's .The CD I was playing did not come out and it still refuses to play now it only allows radio. Please what can I do

ANSWER: Hi Ike -

Looks like the changer band went out. Everything is driven by little belts that look like rubber bands. The only way that it can be fixed is to remove it from your dashboard and take it apart. Then you should see the belts needed.

Hope this helps -

QUESTION: Calvin,
I recently went to an audio guy who told me that mine was factory fitted and i need some sort of pass code or something how true is this?...  how can i still take it apart if i do without jeopardizing any codes.
Thanks for your preious answer :)

Answer
Hi Ike -

Yes, that could be, depending on the sound options that was selected when the car was purchased. As far as I know, that code is entered when there is power disconnected, to discourage theives. You can still take it apart.

If you still have the manufacturer's manual (not the operator's manual, but there should be a separate one for the sound system). The code, or the instructions on how to get it, would be in there.

Let me know if you need further info.
