Nissan Repair: problems with 1990 skyline GTS-T, fuel pressure gauge, mass airflow sensor

Question
hi, i have a '90 skyline GTS-T (RB20DET) and im having some problems. first of all, my input shaft bearing is shot but i won't have a problem fixing that. second, every once and a while, (like once a day sometimes more) ill be driving along and all the sudden the car will just die. you can pump the gas, turn the key off/on nothing helps. then just as sudden the response is back and it runs perfect. i've been told the problem is a bummed sensor but i don't know what one.
if i could get some feedback it would be appreciated

Answer
Shawn,

Nice supercar!  Anyway, check the mass airflow sensor first.  Get a manual and a digital volt ohm meter to do the reading.  Another cause can be the fuel pump cutting out.  So, check the fuel pressure when it dies.  Get a fuel pressure gauge and tape it to the windshield and notice the pressure when the car craps out.  If it is not fuel or the mass airflow sensor then you are looking at ignition and that could be the ECM relay or the coils or...  So, check out what I have provded and email me back.
