Nissan Repair: Cd Player Back Light, nissan sentra, radio unit

Question
I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra with a factory installed CD player/Radio.  Recently the light for the clock display on the CD/Radio unit went out.  I can still see the time displayed during the day but at night I can't.  I guess you'd call it the backlight.  Is this something I can fix?

Answer
Hello -

If you have the tools and means to remove the Cd player from the dash, then you can get to that bulb. I believe the Sentra panel around the CD player snaps in. Remove that, and you can get to the player hold down screws, I think 10mm bolts. Once the player is out then remove the front plate and you will find the defective bulb.

Hope this helps -
