Nissan Repair: 1985 nissan pickup, air fuel mixture, vacuum lines

Question
Hi,

I have a 1985 Nissan pickup with a  carburetored 2.4 liter. It runs and drives fine until it is floor boarded than it just hesitates. If I let off the gas a little it runs fine. I replaced all vacuum lines. Adjusted the air fuel mixture even set the timing, but no luck. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Anthony,

Replace the power valve in the carburetor.  It is a brass cylinder that is hooked to an electrical connector.  It looks about like the diameter of a pall point pen.  Pull the top off the carburetor to gain access.  It is an easy replacement and it should solve the problem.
