Nissan Repair: Timing Chain on 2006 Pathfinder, mechanic work, static compression

Question
I just recently had the timing chain replaced and now the engine seems to be making a noise on the valves/lifters area.  Does the mechanic work mess with these when replacing timing chain

Answer
Luz,

If the timing chain is replaced they set the cams and that effects the valve timing.  I would have a static compression check performed as well as the timing checked to make sure the timing is correct.  By this I mean the mechanical timing.  If the cams are off a tooth the valve train would make noise.  Also, check the oil pressure.
