Nissan Repair: transmission, transmission oil, con artist

i was told I have to change the transmission fluid at 30,000 miles,in my Nissan. I am 60 years old and NEVER changed tranmission fluid in any car I have owned. perhaps added some if needed.. but completely change and $300. ?sounds like a con artist trying to rip me off ?

Transmission oil should be replaced regularly, and 30.000 miles sounds about right to do it, but it should not cost $300. Get a second or even third quote. When I change trans oil, the max it gets is about $100.
