Question
I have a 200o xterra, the truck starts and then stlls, it will not keep running, I have replaced the wires, plugs, dist. cap, fuel filter, and now the fuel pump per a mechanic, and yet none of these have fixed the problem, any ideas/ Please anything

Answer
Tim,

Check for codes.  The computer should tell you the problem.  Probably not, from what your mechanic has done.  I would then use a volt ohm meter to check the mass airflow sensor,  For some craqzy reason, on Nissans, they will fail and not throw a code.  Another item that could be causing the problem would the idle air control valve and the throttle position switch.  The car has to know it is at idle and it does this via the throttle position switch.  The idle air control valve then meters enough air into the engine to make it run, at idle.  Other factors come into play like the manifold absolute pressure sensor that determines how much intake pull is going on.  It does this by comparison with the barometric pressure switch, under the hood.  Splitting the difference to determine manifold vacuum.  But, first I would ohm out the mass airflow sensor.
