Nissan Repair: 1991 Pathfinder speedometer repair, vehicle speed sensor, speedometer repair

I have 1991 Pathfinder that is having speedometer issues.  It reads 15 while parked and doesn't read correctly while moving.  Where do I start and what parts will I need to replace?  Thanks in advance...

If it reads incorrectly there is an issue with the speedometer.  If it reads incorrectly while driving it would be the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission.  I would first change the vehicle speed sensor first and if that did not correct the speedometer then you are looking at replacement or rebuild of your speedometer.
