my outside driver side door handle is broke. the sliding door, how do I get the insde door panel off?

A difficult task if you cannot fish to get to the rod to get the door to open.  Is there any way to use the inside for access.  If not and you cannot fish to the actuator the inside door panel will have to be damaged to gain access.  A factory service manual would be excellent for internal diagrams so you can fish and catch the internal latch arm with a coat hanger.  nissantechinfo.com is the site to get an on-line version of your service manual.  It costs $20 bucks for an hour of access.  You can download the door information easily in PDF file format.

courtesynissan.com is a great source for getting a new door handle.  Also, they might just fax you the internal diagram of the door for free since you would be purchasing the door handle.  They sell for jobber and not list and if you do not live in Texas there is no sales tax.  It costs about a third less than the dealer.
