Nissan Repair: 1991 NISSAN 4x4 TRUCK, rear drive shaft, nissan 4x4

Question
Sir, what is the name of the part that has three bolts holding it directly to the front of the rear end housing.  I believe the companion flange from the rear of the the rear drive shaft goes through this part.  It looks to be light weight pot metal.  It is a stationary part, it does not move.  Mine has cracked and warped and now the spinning rear drive-shaft makes an awful screech as it spins on this cracked piece.  Thank you.

Answer
Mike,

The name you give is one name and Nissan uses the name center support.  You will need to go to the dealer on the bracket since the center support bearing is sold.  But, the bracket that you describe is a dealer item or one that will need to be sourced at a wrecking yard.  rockauto.com is a good source for the center support bearing but the center support is not sold through them.  You could try and give them a call.  Hope this helps.
