Nissan Repair: Nissan Quest 2000 Turn signal fuse, turn signal switch, signal failure

Question
My Nissan Quest 2000 Turn Signal fuse (10A) blown and when I replaced and checked the LEFT turn works fine. However when I put the RIGHT turn signal, fuse blows instantly. This happened twice. What could be the problem. The van also needs a speed sensor replacement and I am waiting for the delar to get the part for replacement.

Thanks in Advance.

Answer
Anand,

The turn signal failure, right turn only, could be a shorted bulb or grounded wire.  If the car has been in a wreck or not check both front and back bulb sockets for bad bulbs or improperly installed bulbs.  If the bulbs are good then the turn signal switch is defective and needs to be replaced.  You only have to remove the column cover and the switch and install the new one.  Just takes a screwdriver.  Costs about $100 bucks at the store.  Check rockauto.com or courtesynissan.com for a cheaper price on-line.
