Nissan Repair: clicking noise at parking speeds, cv joints, cv boots

Question
haven't noticed any clunking while turning corners, but when starting off I notice this in the morning, a definite clicking sound when I turn the wheel left or right with the car running at low speed, can't be felt through the steering -- I'm reluctant to take it to the dealer as they'll probably want to replace the entire gear..

Answer
Pete,

Probably the CV joints need replacement.  Find a good front end shop that can perfrom alignments after the CV joints get replaced.  What you are looking for is that the CV boots are torn and the grease has leaked out.  Then, the CV joints will start to click for starters.  No need to go to the dealer as a good front end shop will suffice.
