Question
hi i have just brought this it says r3m i make it 1991 h plate its not changing gear correctly it seems to take long time changing if i ease off the throttle it changes is their any adjustment for kickdown please if so how and where is it please

Answer
pHIL,

The governor that controls the shifting is sticking.  There are ports for the fluid to go through and it appears that your transmission has debris internal or the fluid is gummed up.  There is a kickdown by the throttle cable but that is not going to change what you are describing.  Now, if it is loose and come undone you could get lucky.  To adjust, engine off, and foot to the floor.  Now, adjust the kickdown cable until taunt, but not tight.  There needs to be a little slack.  Now tighten the lock nuts down.  Release throttle and start and drive the vehicle.
