Nissan Repair: Nissan Maxima Se, nissan maxima se, timing chain replacement

I own a 1997 Nissan Maxima SE a few days ago the check engine light came on and stayed on for 2 days.  I got the codes checked at a Nissan dealership and they said i needed a new wire harness and a timing chain.  The light went out 2 days after i got it checked.  Is the problem gone or should i change the timing chain and harness?

I would just leave it be. Could have been just an anomoly.

If it comes back again, then perhaps it should be considered. Can you get the code that were displayed, and I will do more research on my end. Just want make sure you are being told the right thing, as timing chain replacement is costly.
