QuestionQUESTION: The rear brake light on a '97 Villager won't go off, even when the van is parked and turned off. It happened a couple of times before and tapping the brake pedal turned it off. Now it won't go off no matter what I do. Even when I get the light to go off, is it draining my battery because my year and half old battery just died without warning?
ANSWER: Fay,
The brake light switch, under the dash, needs to be replaced. The switch is at the top of the brake pedal arm. Purchase a new one and it is about a half hour to replaced if you do it yourself.
