Nissan Repair: electrical problem ??, altinator, 200 sx

1997 200/sx/se 1.6 w/air. went to drive home last week got in and no gauges worked or radio, power windows, nothing.  it started up fine and drove then i noticed no speedo, lights come on but i think it was running off the battery?? so i changed the altinator and still nothing? what can check next?? battery, cables, fuses, fusible link??

A couple of things can cause your problem.  If the vehicle runs fine but no lights or other accessories you mention could be that the ignition is either worn out or it is not returning to the run mode.  Other causes could be fuses or fuse links not allowing the power to flow.  Check the ignition first.  Now, check the fuse links at the positive terminal.  If those are good check the fuses.  Email me back with what you find or if you need more help.
