Nissan Repair: nissan maxima transmission, nissan maxima, nissan dealer

I own a 1991 Nissan Maxima. I was wondering where the transmission filter is located so I can change it. I was going to do this repair myself. I ordered the part from a catalog and purchased the fluid from a Nissan dealer. Could you tell me where this part would be located in my car?

The transmission filter is located in the transmission.  Remove the transmission pan.  The filter is inside.  Now, this is if you have an automatic.  If it is a manual there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission case and there is no filter.
