Nissan Repair: Airflow sensor problem!!, airflow sensor, spark plug wire

Question
Hello,
Nissan Sendtra 2001 XE.
I have my car here over seas and unforatantely they are only familiar with Nissan Sunny, not Sentra.
Anyway, the car started stalling as I was driving it as if running out of gas, then it stopped. I took it to one mechanic where he told me that it was the airflow sensor. I had to ship one from the US since the don't have it here.
But I guess the guy did not install it right because it didn't run and the second mechanic told me that it got shorted. They supposed to have fixed the sensor, but it still doesn't work. The guy can't download the program to the computer (that's what he's saying). Can you help please?

P.S. They said that fuel pump is working!

Answer
Hi Sammy -

Can you do a spark test?
Pull out a spark plug wire, insert a screwdriver against the terminal in the boot securely. Crank the engine while holding the screwdriver about 1/4 inch away from any metal surface (do not touch any metal surface while doing this).

Can you let me know if there is any spark jumping between the metal surfaces?

Thanks
aloha
