Nissan Repair: Pathfinder headlight, headlight assembly, skin oil

Question
I have a 2002 Pathfinder and the passenger side headlight went out, and we are having trouble replacing it. Can you guide us on how to do this. Thanks :)

Answer
Hi Danielle -

Let's see, I do not know where the hang up is, so I have to guess. The bulb is accessed from behind the assembly (need to open the hood). Look for the wires that attach to the headlight assembly. There is a circular hold down that you need to turn 1/4 and it will pull off. Because of the rubber seal, you might have to give it some "motivation". Once out, the bulb can be removed by just pulling on it. Replace it with the new bulb, however you cannot touch it with your fiingers, as the skin oil will damage it. Use a cloth. Then the install is reverse of the removal.

Hope this helps -
